Farm fresh milk was part of life for Joseph Heckman growing up on an organic dairy. As Professor of Soil Science at Rutgers University he teaches courses in Soil Fertility and Organic Agriculture. He is co-author of Fresh Milk Production, The Cow Edition and The Goat Edition. He recently published a review: Securing Fresh Food from Fertile Soil, Challenges to the Organic and Raw Milk Movements.

Pete Kennedy is a Florida attorney who has worked on issues governing raw milk production and distribution since 2004. He compiled a summary of raw milk laws in each of the fifty states and is currently a consultant for Weston A. Price Foundation on, among other things, policies and laws regarding raw milk. He has consulted on and drafted legislation about raw milk, cottage foods and food sovereignty; drafted and reviewed herdshare agreements; worked on embargo, seizure and recall cases involving raw dairy products; and worked on foodborne illness outbreaks attributed to raw milk consumption.

Sally Fallon Morell
President, Weston A. Price Foundation
Sally Fallon Morell is founding president of The Weston A. Price Foundation (westonaprice.org), a non-profit nutrition education foundation dedicated to returning nutrient-dense food to American tables. She is also the founder of A Campaign for Real Milk (realmilk.com), which has as its goal universal access to clean raw milk from pasture-fed animals.
She is the author of the best-selling cookbook Nourishing Traditions (with Mary G. Enig, PhD); The Nourishing Traditions Book of Baby & Child Care (with Thomas S. Pet Food Consumer Advocate
If you are a pet food manufacturer, you probably cringe when you hear the name Susan Thixton. If you are the FDA or State Department of Agriculture, you probably sigh 'oh no, it's her again' when Susan calls. But if you are a pet food consumer, you are relieved to know she’s fighting for the safety of your pet’s food.
Susan Thixton is a pet food consumer advocate - one of just a handful of advocates in the US that fight to hold the pet food industry accountable to existing food safety regulations. She is the founder of the Association for Truth in Pet food – a pet food consumer stakeholder organization which holds an advisory position on several pet food regulatory committees. Susan is the author and co-author of several books, the publisher of the website TruthaboutPetFood.com, PetsumerReport.com, and Association for Truth in Pet Food.
William Hoekman
Nutrition Science Director, Answers Pet Food
Billy Hoekman is the Nutrition Science Director for Answers Pet Food. He is involved in formulation, research, product development, working with farms, science education, and performs all of their nutrition consultations. He specializes in developing diets that pertain to specific disease conditions. He attends yearly AAFCO meetings, participates frequently in expert panels, and routinely speaks around the country on a wide variety of topics. He also serves on the board of directors for the Royal Animal Health University and is frequently published in Dogs Naturally Magazine. He is a proud member of the Weston A. Price Foundation and lives in Los Angeles with his wife Emily and their dog Lua.
